What are you doing to occupy your time at home? Keeping the kids minds focused on what they should be focused on, gets more challenging daily. Doing stuff in the yard, power washing the drive, and organizing is on my list.
Last night, my daughter got me going with "name that tune" One catch, the songs I had to name where played by her on her oboe. Of course I did terrible. Not because of her playing abilities, rather my inability to know the names of every Billie Eilish song. Until she played a song she knew I loved... "Feels So Good" by Chuck Mangione. It was awesome. So today I am going to dig out my crate of vinyl records and drop the needle on them. The only vinyl records I kept from my past were a couple Rolling Stones lp's and a collection of power jazz albums by Maynard Ferguson and Chuck Mangione records.
Playing trumpet in high school jazz band, my musical hero was Maynard Ferguson. I'm curious, what part of your past musical or not, have you found yourself revisiting while spending more time at home?
