- Poker Player Takes Bet That Lands Him In A Bathroom: Some guys will just bet on anything. Two poker players in fact recently took a $100,000 bet to see if one of them could live for 30 days inside a pitch-black bathroom in complete isolation. Poker pro-Rich Alati took Rory Young's bet while playing at the Bellagio in Las Vegas back in September. Alati agreed to pay Young if he failed to stay the entire 30 days inside the room. Alati was allowed to get food from a local restaurant at irregular intervals to prevent him from keeping track of time. There would be no television, radio or phone and he would only be able to have a yoga mat and massage ball with him. Alati’s father would also monitor him via video feed and could pull his son out at any time. After 10 days Young began to worry he may lose the bet and offered $50,000 to leave the room. Alati declined the offer but two continued negotiations, and on day 20 Alati accepted $62,400 to leave.
