Memphis Made Interview w/ Tommy Cathey

Always love being inspired by Memphis Made Music Bass Greats - Tommy Cathey is certainly one of them! Having played with Larry Raspberry in Alamo and going on to be a founding member of Target with the late, great Jimi Jamison and Buddy Davis (check out vid below), Tommy has carved an impressive path in the music industry which artists longing for the same should pay attention to closely. Originally a guitarist, he discovered that he was a low-ender after having to fill the slot in one of his bands and was sold after the first encounter going on to record with GREATS like Albert King, Todd Rundgren and John Prine, to name a few. He has worked with Grammy Nominated Christian Act DeGarmo and Key and currently plays in Almost Famous, a Memphis Music Super Group, with Scott Sudbury, Buddy Nemenz and legendary drummer/percussionist Bill Marshall. Have a listen to my two-part interview with Tommy from last Sunday's Memphis Made where we reflect on his career and talk Tommy's new album Stop, Drop and Rock recorded at Ardent Studios with Adam Hill.
