Memphis Made Interview w/ Spicerfest 6 Folks

It's a tradition to have Event Organizers Jonelle Spicer and Memphis Music Vet Rudy Forster (Blackbone, Special Shoes, Strutter) on Memphis Made around this time every year to promote Spicerfest. The two have organized a successful on-going benefit for FSH Muscular Dystrophy research - a disease which Jonelle and some family members battle themselves. This year's event promises to be bad ass like the others including a 20 year reunion of The VERBS featuring founding member Rudy Forster and legendary rhythm section John "Bubba" Bonds and Terrence "T$" Bishop among many other incredible bands all pitching in for the cause. In addition to the bands, silent auction and raffles, Memphis Music fan Tommy Musso has combo'd his 50th birthday celebration with the benefit to garner even more attention for the special evening. Throughout the years, Spicerfest has raised an impressive $25K + for FSHMD research. Please drop by Growlers (1911 Poplar Ave.) this Saturday night and show your love to the bands and pitch in to help find the cure. All of the benefit details in my two-part interview with Jonelle, Rudy and Tommy below. Check it out!
